Welcome to Dr David Stewart’s Practice

Dr David Stewart is a specialist plastic surgeon specialising in Hand and Wrist, Peripheral nerve and extremity reconstruction.

Dr Stewart completed undergraduate and basic surgical training in Scotland, followed by specialist training in Sydney and Auckland. He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons. He also completed a further fellowship in hand surgery and microsurgery at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne.

Dr Stewart is appointed as a consultant in the Hand and Peripheral Nerve Surgery department at Royal North Shore hospital and the Children’s Hospital Westmead and operates privately at North Shore Private Hospital. His rooms are located at Sydney Orthopaedic and Reconstructive Specialist Centre in St Leonards.

Peripheral Nerve

Peripheral Nerve Surgery treats conditions to restore injured or compressed nerves throughout the body that control sensation and movement. This includes acute nerve injuries, entrapment neuropathies and nerve sheath tumours.

 

Soft Tissue

Soft Tissue Surgery includes the surgical treatment of Sarcoma, Scars and Skin Cancer to restore form and function. This ranges from limb reconstruction to scar management and skin cancer surgery.
